Cleaning and descaling your Moccamaster is crucial to getting the best out of your machine. By removing any residue, contaminants, or build-up, you can get a consistently great brew whilst ensuring your Moccamaster runs smoothly for years to come.

Moccamaster recommends cleaning and descaling your machine every 3-4 months. Check out the step-by-step guides below on how do to this using 2 of Cafetto's amazing products.

Cleaning: Method

1. Dissolve 1x scoop of Cafetto Brew Clean in two litres of warm water.
2. For Moccamaster parts: soak the parts in the solution for 15 minutes. Wash the parts in the solution then rinse.
3. For Moccamaster carafe: pour the solution into the carafe and let it sit for 15 minutes. Discard solution and rinse
4. Your Moccamaster is now ready to use!

NB: Cafetto Brew Clean is not suitable to run through the Moccamaster machine. Please only use it to clean the parts and carafe individually.

Descaling: Method

1. In a bowl, dissolve 1x sachet of Cafetto Renew into 1L of warm water. It is important that the water is warm, not hot.
2. Stir the solution to ensure the Renew has completely dissolved.
3. Pour the solution into the water reservoir of your Moccamaster machine.
4. Run a brew cycle of the machine. To do this, open the filter basket's flow rate by using the switch on the side of the brew basket (filled circle). Then, turn your Moccamaster on. The solution from the reservoir should begin flowing through the machine.
5. Discard the solution.
6. Fill the water reservoir with cold water and run another brew cycle of the machine. Discard the water.
7. Run one final brew cycle and discard the water.
8. Your Moccamaster is now ready to use!
